The most difficult aspect of operating a multilingual website is that it must be built perfectly at once. Before operating a website, it's not a big problem to do various tests or make frequent revisions, but it's not desirable to change settings other than blog posts after the posts have begun to be issued in earnest. It is my personal experience and opinion that it is better to minimize revisions, as much as possible, to the website design and category pages.
Once the website is built, if you change the sitemap, modify the permalink, or re-edit the redirection or hreflang, inLanguage settings, Google bot will temporarily suspend indexing, which can have a fatal impact on the operation of the website.
durumis's current robots settings
In fact, in the case of durumis, the indexing was all removed while changing the robots settings, and a phenomenon occurred where searches were not performed for a long time. In the end, at that time, I had no choice but to visit by directly entering the URL address.

In my case, I also had a problem where the indexing was all removed due to incorrect http and www redirection settings.
Multilingual website indexing status on Day 237
In the case of the website on day 237, about 1,000 posts have already been published, and I'm still waiting because I like the domain name very much and can't easily give up. In the early days of the website, the indexing rate exceeded 95%, but now I'm just waiting without any action.
If my memory is correct, durumis also changed the permalink URL from a subdirectory format to a subdomain format in the early days of operation. Also, I have modified the contents of the robots.txt file, and I remember that the UI configuration of the 3-line automatic summary function has also changed its position several times, from top to bottom, or from bottom to top. In addition, various attempts have been made, and it is gradually evolving into a form that has the appearance of a multilingual website and a high degree of completeness. Perhaps, the multilingual website may finally be completed. However, these changes have a fatal negative impact on the indexing work.
The reason why the posts I've published now do not appear in the search results when I search for the entire title (full name) on Google is presumed to be due to the problems mentioned earlier.
